mix besan,1/2 of green chilli, 1/8 tbsp red chilli and1 tbsp oil.
add water in this mixture to make a dough.
make strips of 1 cm diameter and 5-6 inches in length.
put into a boiling and boil for 10 minutes.
take out from water and cut them into small pieces .these pieces r called gatte.
u can shallow fry these gatte and use as a tea time snack.
heat oil in a pan and add hing cumin seed ,green chilli, ginger garlic paste and mustard paste.
add onions and saute for some time.
add tomatoes cook again for 2 minutes.
add turmeric, coriander powder, salt and garam masala and 1 1/2 cups of water. boil for 5 minutes.
now gravy is ready.
put gatte in a gravy and boil for 3 minuted or until gravy gets thick.
serve with steamed rice or plain paratha.
