Soak the chick peas for over night and pressur cook till soft and keep aside.
Peel and cut the potatoes into 2" cubes and keep aside.
Make a paste with paste ingredients and keep aside.
Heat a pan with oil and add ground masala ingredients and mustard seeds.
When they start to pop add chopped onions, curry leaves and saute till they become transparent.
Add chopped tomatoes and required quantity of salt.
Saute till the tomatoes become juicy.
Then add ground paste and saute till the raw smell disappears or till the oil separates from the mixture.
Now add chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder.
Stir well and add cubed potatoes and cooked chick peas.
Mix well and add a cup of water and cover with a lid.
Cook on low flame for 10-15 mins or the potatoes become tender.
Finally adjust salt and garnish with coriander leaves.
Now your easy and tasty potato chick peas kurma is ready to serve.
Serve hot with rice, Roti, paratha, etc..
