Kashmiri Lobia recipe


  • 3 cups red kidney beans
  • 2 cups Onion chopped
  • 2 Tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tbsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsps Salt
  • 1/2 cup Oil
  • Ginger Garlic Paste

Cooking Instructions

Boil 1 tbsp salt and red kidney beans in a pressure cooker

In a pan heat oil and saute’ onions then add ginger garlic paste, salt, red chili powder and turmeric powder. Stir well

Add tomatoes and cook for 5mins Off the heat under pressure cooker and add tarka which you’ve made in the pan Stir for a second

Cover the pressure cooker and put on high flame till water dries Serve with rice and roti
