Methi gathiya recipe


  • 1/2 kg besan
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp kasoori methi
  • a pinch of soda
  • oil for frying

Cooking Instructions

sieve the besan, soda and add salt and methi to it.

add enough oil to the besan that it start forming round balls.

knead a tight dough and keep aside for 1/2 hr. cover it with wet cloth.

heat oil in a kadai .

with the help of gathiya maker, drop gathiyas in a heated oil.

fry till golden crisp.

drain excess oil .
when cool down ,store them in a airtight jar.

enjoy them with a cup of tea.
