vandaka kurma recipe

Ingredients

  • Vandaka (okra) - 250 gms
  • Coconut milk - 1/2 cup
  • oil - 2-3tsp
  • salt - to taste
  • To Grind:
  • Cashwnets - 5-6nos
  • patta - 2nos(medium)
  • Cloves - 2nos
  • Fennel seeds - 1tsp
  • Ginger - small piece
  • Garlic - 4 flakes
  • Red chilly powder - 1tsp
  • Green chilly -1no

Cooking Instructions

Make the vandaka into small piece and keep aside

Heat a pan, add onion saute for 4 to 5mins

Add vandaka to it and fry finely till oil separates

Then add ground paste, little water and salt, close the lid and allow them to cook

Finally add coconut milk heat for few mins

Vandaka kurma is ready to serve with chapathi, naan and any food variety
