Banana and date bread recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 tbsp baking powder.
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup oats.
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/4 c honey
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 4 small ripe bananas
  • 1/4 chopped soft dates.
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts(opt)

Cooking Instructions

Combine the dry ingredients together in a bowl.

Mix in all the other ingredients and make into a semi thick batter.

Don''t over mix the batter approx 2-3 min.

5. Bake in a 350 deg oven for 45-50 min or until when you fork when inserted comes out clean.

Remove from heat and serve warn with tea or coffee *(if your not on a diet spread some butter to give a nicer taste and fragrance).
