Goat Curry recipe


  • 1/2 kg goat meat (mutton)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp chilli powder or to taste
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala, (optional)
  • salt to taste
  • few coriander leaves for garnishing
  • 1/2 tbsp oil
  • Seasoning ingredients:
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • few curry leaves

Cooking Instructions

Cut the mutton into bite size pieces and wash with plenty of water and drain completely.

Heat a pan with oil and add mustard seeds.

When they start to pop add curry leaves and chopped onions.

Saute till the onions become transparent and add chopped tomatoes.

Saute till the tomatoes become juicy.

Add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell disappears.

Add chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder and saute for few mins.

Now add washed and drained mutton pieces and mix well.

Add 2 cups of water and cover with a lid and cook on low flame till the goat pieces become tender.

Then adjust salt and add garam masala.

Finally garnish with coriander leaves and remove from heat.

Now your easy and tasty Indian style goat curry is ready to serve.

Serve with rice, Roti, idly, paratha, etc..
